Failed Escape: Evans the kidnapper Offered $100.000 Bribe Money to Police 

Notorious kidnapper, Chukwudibem Onwuamadike (aka Evans)  tried to escape from Police custody by offering a $100.000 bribe to guards on duty.

According to The Nation, police detectives were however quick to thwart his move.

A source close to the situation disclosed that the suspect had coordinated his escape by communicating with some of his gang members who are still at large. He used a cell phone which he had gotten suspiciously.

Evans was arrested on June 10th during what was a highly publisised incident. Also arrested were his colleagues: Victor Aduba, Chilaka Ifeanyi, Okechukwu Nwachukwu, Uche Amadi and Ogechi Uchechukwu all of whom are currently detained at Kirikiri Prison.

There has been heavy security around them ever since their arrests.
