Failed Suicide Mission in Maiduguri, Four Terrorists Die

Wednesday night, four suicide bombers suspected to be affiliated with the deadly Boko Haram group died when their planned suicide bombing mission failed to work out as planned.
Eye witnesses said the bombers (all of whom were teenage girls), detonated their IEDs one after the other at about 8:23 pm last night.

According to Sahara Reporters, the suicide bombers’ mission was thwarted after one of them miscalculated and set off her explosion. And as the alarm was raised following the explosion, the others became rattled and set off their explosions in quick succession killing only themselves.

“When we were at our duty place, suddenly we heard a very loud explosion” recounted a witness. “I quickly climbed the fence. While on the fence, I put on the torch light and spotted three of them standing behind the fence. So I raised the alarm then the second girl blew herself.”

The third girl then ran into a deserted mosque and detonated her explosive device. Luckily, no one else died but her and her colleagues.

The area is said to have suffered a series of suicide attacks which have claimed the lives of many civilians.
