As Nigeria happily mark the 57th anniversary of its Independence Day, the not-so-happy orthopedic patients of the National Hospital in Enugu have called on the Federal Government to bring to an immediate end the ongoing industrial action embarked upon by Health Workers across the country.
In a desperate plea via his Facebook timeline, Mr CJ Josiah highlighted his plight and that of the other patients. He noted that many lives are being lost, even as said deaths could be averted.
Mr Josiah suffers from a severe spinal cord injury which has kept him in his wheelchair for almost a year following an attack by armed robbers.
He is also calling on all well-spirited Nigerians to come to his aid with any amount they can afford which will go a long way towards ameliorating the financial woes he has faced since he became hospitalised.
